The parking changes have been included in the Masterplan for Five Dock Park, which was adopted by Council on 21 October 2025. Learn more here.

About the parking changes

Council has been exploring opportunities to increase parking around Five Dock Park.

The changes include:

  • 19 additional car spaces to be created for people visiting the park
    • Requires one existing BBQ to be decommissioned
    • Requires the removal of one tree which will be replanted in a location determined by our trees team
  • Parking bays on Barnstaple Road to be reconstructed to create 25 car and 4 motorbike parking bays
    • One parking space will be converted into a disabled parking spot
  • 3 speed cushions to be constructed on Barnstaple Road to slow down drivers. This will not impact parking..

We asked for community feedback on these parking changes from 4 November - 8 December 2024.
