What is the Five Dock Park Precinct?
We’re thinking of the big picture at Five Dock Park by taking a precinct-wide approach to planning future upgrades, so they’re more cost effective, efficient and less disruptive for park users.
To plan upgrades over the next 10 years, we've drafted a Masterplan for Five Dock Park, using community feedback collected in late 2024. We're now sharing the draft Masterplan along with a draft concept design for a multi-purpose court and want to know what you think!
Feedback closes Thursday, 21 August 2025.

Multi-purpose court
About the multi-purpose court
Council has received funding to construct a multi-purpose court in Five Dock Park. This project is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with the City of Canada Bay.
Last year we shared a suggested location for the multi-purpose court on the western side of Five Dock Park, a short walk from the existing playground. Community feedback collected from 4 November - 8 December 2024 revealed concerns with this location, and as such we are now planning to position the multi-purpose court next to the existing skate park, creating a hub of activity in the park targeting young people.
We are now sharing a draft concept design which includes:
- Two half-sized hard surface courts with acrylic pavement
- Opportunities for basketball, futsal, netball, handball and other floor games
- Seating, sandstone blocks and landscaping
- Retention of existing pathway lighting
View the draft concept design below and share any feedback or comments by Thursday, 21 August 2025.
