A big thank you to everyone involved in making this day special including the Church Street Markets, Drummoyne Business Chamber, Jenn and the Barista, Ribs & Burgers, Thai La-Ong Drummoyne and Burwood Police. Another big thank you to everyone who came along.

About
Following the trial of the Formosa Street and Church Street shared spaces from October 2020 to March 2021, Council resolved to make these public spaces permanent. Community feedback collected throughout the pilot period was used to create concept designs for both spaces, which can be viewed below.
Taking into account community feedback during the design period, the spaces will feature table tennis, bench seating, picnic tables, ambient lighting, decorative paving, artwork, and various trees and ground cover plantings.
This $3 million project is jointly funded by the City of Canada Bay and the NSW Government’s state-wide Your High Street Program to promote permanent improvement projects in local government areas. The program seeks to boost high street businesses, local economies, and public wellbeing in response to COVID-19.
