What is Open Maker?

Open Maker is your place to drop-in, create, repair, and be part of a community that enjoys making! These casual, self-led sessions are the perfect opportunity to work with peers, share knowledge and use our Makerspace equipment.

In Open Maker, you gain access to a range of various technologies, consumables and resources at your disposal. This includes 3D printing, die cutting, soldering, electronics and much more. There are different learning resources, guides and tutorials within the space and on this website, for your self-led learning journey. Our staff and community support you as you enhance your technical and troubleshooting skills. However, our staff’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the safety of the Makerspace for public use.

If you are looking for a facilitator-led learning experience, please book into our free Open Maker Workshops that does not require a Safety Induction or Library Membership.
