2020 - 2022 Tree Planting Programs
Council has planted three rounds of new trees across the City of Canada Bay for our Urban Canopy Program. With the support of the NSW Government's Cooler Suburbs Grant, we have planted an additional 800 trees across the City in Round 2, and an additional 590 trees across the City in Round 3.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the plans for Round 2 of planting for our Urban Canopy Program. These plans have been updated following community feedback received from April to June 2021. Review the updated plans below.
With the support of the NSW Government's Cooler Suburbs Grant we will be planting 800 trees across the City.

With the support of the NSW Government's Cooler Suburbs Grant (Round 3), we have planted an additional 590 trees across the City over the next 12 months. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on suggested planting locations for Round 3 of our Urban Canopy Program. All feedback has been reviewed and updated plans are now available, please scroll down to view.

Round 4 Stage 1
Update: Communities affected by the planned tree planting locations for 2023 have been notified by mail. Final plans have been updated. These residents will receive another letterbox notification several weeks prior to planting to coincide with exact locations being marked on the ground.
As part of the State Government's Greening Our City Grant, Council is planting approximately 420 trees in 2023. Data provided by our Urban Tree Canopy Strategy and residential requests identified numerous plantable spaces with low canopy cover in the below streets and parks.
