In our last update, we shared that more than 1,000 rolls of fresh turf had recently been installed at Timbrell Park, Five Dock, as part of our sports field upgrade.

Unfortunately, due to the recent wet weather, the sportsfields will be ready for play later than anticipated.

While the turf initially benefited from the rainfall, the prolonged wet weather has impacted the condition of the fields. In addition, some damage has occurred to the fields during contractor mowing, requiring further rectification works before the fields can reopen.

A thorough assessment of the fields will be undertaken in the coming days, after which we will provide further information on the anticipated reopening date.

We understand this delay is disappointing and appreciate your patience while we work with our contractor to complete the necessary rectification works and return the fields to a safe and playable condition as soon as possible.
