Project update and community drop-in mural art session

Thanks for your interest in our $4.75 million Majors Bay Reserve Recreation Precinct proudly funded by the NSW Government. Over the last few months, we've hit several major milestones, including the completion of:

  • A senior BMX jump track, ‘The Shed’
  • A youth area with multipurpose sports courts
  • A new amenity building with a Changing Places Facility
  • Connecting pathways, and a
  • A new car park

The finishing touches are currently being added to the junior BMX jump track, inclusive adventure playground, and outdoor fitness station, before being ready for use.

Community drop-in mural art session

We are adding a mural to 'The Shed' jump track and would love your involvement. You'll also have the chance to meet aerosol artist, Sam Absurd, who will be working on the mural as part of Youth Week 2025.

Come down to the jump tack (along Norman Street) anytime between 10am–12pm on Saturday, 12 April to share your ideas and enjoy:

  • Free artist workshop run by Sam Absurd, suitable for all ages
  • Free bike checks and tune-ups from onsite mechanics, as part of our Youth Week celebrations.
