March Update

22 March 2024

Progress at Majors Bay Reserve in Concord is on track, with several upgrades scheduled to be completed by mid-2024. We are pleased to share that our Youth Zone is nearly complete, featuring multi-use courts, handball courts, and areas to sit and relax. We look forward to seeing our community, especially young people, enjoy the space from April onwards.

To enhance accessibility at the reserve, the construction of several connecting pathways is underway. Meanwhile, construction has begun on the junior pump track along Norman Street, with plans for the intermediate jump track currently under consultation with stakeholders as we work towards a final design.

We also want to thank everyone who provided input on our proposal to create a new foreshore boardwalk and viewing deck at the reserve. We are currently reviewing feedback ahead of reporting back to the community. Please click here to learn more about this project and sign up for updates.

Following this, we will begin constructing our outdoor fitness area, inclusive playground, the ‘Changing Places’ accessible amenity building, additional pathways, tree plantings, and landscaping work.

Stay tuned for the next update!
