As we begin the new year, we are pleased to update you on the progress at Majors Bay Reserve. Over the next few months, on-ground works will start to take shape and we are on-track for completion of a number of upgrades in mid-2024.

The Youth Zone works which include multi-use courts, along with seating areas to meet and catch up will begin in mid-January near the existing playground. We are aiming to re-use the current playground at another location in the City of Canada Bay Area. This area will also see a small avenue of 12 trees planted to accommodate the relocation of the Frigate Memorial.

In the coming months, we will also commence construction of the pump track along Norman Street, which will be a very exciting time for those that have been waiting for this facility to take shape.

Works on the outdoor fitness area, inclusive playground, ‘Changing Places’ accessible amenities, pathways, tree planting and revegetation works will follow. More details to be provided in the next project update.
