meeting on 15 March 2022 and became effective on 26 August 2022. Please

Council has prepared amendments
to the City of Canada Bay
Development Control Plan (DCP). The amendments seek to implement adopted
Council strategies, internal reviews and feedback received as well as to
correct errors and anomalies.
The role of the Development Control Plan (DCP) is to provide detailed planning and design guidelines to support the planning controls in the Local Environmental Plan (LEP).
City of Canada Bay DCP Miscellaneous Amendments
The draft DCP seeks to implement outcomes arising from the following plans, strategies and studies:
- Local Strategic Planning Statement
- Low Rise Medium Density Review
- Urban Tree Canopy Strategy
- Victoria Road Urban Design Review
- Review of waste management systems and DCP for multi-unit dwellings
- Disability Inclusion Action Plan
- Local Movement Strategy
- Canada Bay Biodiversity Framework and Action Plan
- City of Canada Bay Public Art and Cultural Plan
- Review and amalgamation of Site and Precinct Specific DCPs
- Concord West Flood Study.
Various housekeeping changes and other miscellaneous amendments and improvements have also been made to the DCP.
