Public exhibition of draft Cultural Plan
From 17 May - 18 June 2022 we asked for feedback on our draft Cultural Plan "Our Creative City".
The Cultural Plan addresses how Council will:
- Support creatives from game designers to musicians, actors to artists
- Partner with local community groups and residents to celebrate and create
- Encourage creative business and help cultural professionals to build opportunities to trade and practise
- Create vibrant events, places and spaces for the community to come together and celebrate their creativity and culture.

Arts and Culture Committee
Expressions of interest to join our Arts and Culture Committee are now closed
Why are we doing this? Increased prosperity, leisure time and higher levels of education are driving a demand for cultural participation, and it is therefore important for Council to plan ahead for cultural facilities and activities to meet increasing demand and capitalise on this growing economy.
This consultation seeks feedback from the community to review the Cultural Plan and ensure it continues to align with the community’s views, interests, and aspirations.
The City of Canada Bay is a local government area in Sydney. We acknowledge the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in particular the Wangal people of the Eora nation, as the first inhabitants of the nation and the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work.
