Public exhibition of draft Masterplan for Queen Elizabeth and Goddard Park

Thank you for your interest in the Concord Parklands Corridor project.

In June 2024, an external consultant undertook a heritage assessment of Queen Elizabeth Park and Goddard Park to help inform a draft Masterplan for the two parks.

The draft Masterplan is now on public exhibition until Monday 12 May 2025 and we'd love to hear your feedback.

Key elements included in the Masterplan are highlighted below.

Queen Elizabeth Park

  • New amenities building including public toilets
  • Accessible path linking the playground to the new amenities building
  • Restoration of the commemorative garden along Broughton Street. These works are currently underway and are expected to be completed in the next few months
  • Existing sporting fields to be retained
  • Shared path for pedestrians and bikes, which will form part of the Regional Cycleway connection from Concord to the Bay Run.
  • Access from Gipps Street, for maintenance vehicles and accessible parking
  • Planting and appropriate fencing along Broughton Street
  • Additional seating, water bubbler, bins and picnic shelters
  • Improved pathway lighting
  • Restoration of the Pavilion of Honour at the corner of Crane Street and Broughton Street
  • New planting along Addison Road
  • Enhancement of the Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest

Goddard Park

  • Existing amenities building, scout hall and arch along Park Avenue to be retained
  • Playground upgrade
  • Additional seating, water bubbler and bins
  • Cultural walking trail
  • Improved pedestrian entrance off Gipps Street
  • Improved pathway lighting
  • Off-field training and warm-up area
  • Existing sporting fields to be retained
