Thanks for your interest in the Chiswick Community Garden Upgrade.

From 1 November - 1 December 2024 we asked for feedback on two concept design options for the upgrade. 12 submissions were received, and feedback was mixed.

Some submissions showed a preference for option one as it minimises the impact on other park uses, while others favored option two with the proposed extension further from the footpath.

Having considered the feedback received, Council is progressing with Option 1. This option will create a larger and more accessible community garden for the community.

The design features:

• Expansion of the garden area to the west
• Improvement of the garden surface to make it more accessible
• Extended timber fencing and retaining walls
• New raised garden planters
• Installation of additional water taps for gardening use
• Landscape enhancements outside the new garden perimeter.

Works will be starting this month, and are expected to be complete by early July 2025, weather permitting. Works will take place between 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday and 7am–1pm on Saturdays if required.
