Join our November meeting to learn how to reduce waste and recycle more in your building.

About this event:

A Waste Management Toolkit for Apartment Buildings is now available to help building managers, owners’ committees and residents to solve a range of ongoing waste problems associated with apartment living including:

  • Lack of educational resources
  • Unclear responsibilities between residents and building management
  • Dumped rubbish in the communal space and overflowing bins
  • Poor recycling habits
  • Turnover of new residents resulted in dumping issues
  • Safety as hazardous materials are placed in the bins

Come along to our free Information Session to learn about the toolkit, as well as how to set up an effective waste management system and streamline disposal options for waste and recycling streams in your buildings.

The session will cover the following key points:

  2. Apartment Recycling Program: Council staff will discuss available resources to help residents recycle more and improve the quality of recycling in buildings.
  3. HomeCycle Program: HomeCycle staff will explain what the HomeCycle program is, the benefits and how to access
  4. Energy Efficiency in Apartments: An energy efficiency specialist will discuss available resources to help residents achieve energy efficiency in buildings.

This session is for building managers, strata managers, real estate agents, strata committees and apartment dwelling residents who reside in the City of Canada Bay.
