Welcome to the McIlwaine Park Project Update!

We think it's important to keep our community in the loop, so we're excited to share what's been happening with the project. Let's talk about some of the things we've achieved in the past month:

Improving the foreshore area:

• Good news! All the major work is done at the site.
• Right now, we're working on the final touches that will allow us to take down the temporary fence. We should wrap up this last phase in the next few days.
• Getting ready for the big opening ceremony in November, we'll also be doing some extra work. Don't worry, though – we'll make sure this work doesn't disrupt your access to the foreshore.

Playground and facilities:

• Council is currently in the planning phase for upgrading the playground and a new amenities building in the park.
• Our goal is to make sure both projects are completed before the end of the financial year in 2023-2024.
