Welcome to the McIlwaine Park Project Update!

Engaging with our community is vital to us, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to share this project's latest developments with you. Let's take a look at some of the significant achievements from the past month:

Stage 1 – Foreshore Upgrade

• Construction is right on track and is projected to be completed by the end of 2023.
• We're delighted to announce the successful completion of two new terrace areas, along with turf installation. Even more exciting, a third area is almost done!
• The sheet piles have been successfully removed.
• The construction of the seawall and tidal rock-pools has been completed, marking a major milestone.
• Our current focus is on constructing the new accessible sand beach area.
• The planting of new native trees is making great progress, with approximately 75% already completed.

Stage 2 – Playground and Amenities Upgrade

• We're making headway with the planning for amenities and playground upgrades. Look out for a consultation in September 2023 to get your valuable input!
• Our aim is to have the playground and amenities upgrades completed before the end of the 2023/2024 financial year, and we are working diligently to make this happen.
