Construction is Recommencing

13 December 2022

Works are recommencing on the McIlwaine Park River Activation and Foreshore Upgrade Project.

We apologise for the project delay and would like to thank residents and park users for their patience during this process.

The project has undergone some design changes, however, the changes remain consistent with the original designs adopted following the initial engagement process undertaken with the community.

The $6.67 million works, jointly funded by the NSW Government's Precinct Support Scheme and the City of Canada Bay, include the construction of a beach area, natural rockpools, a launch facility for water activities such as kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding, picnic facilities, accessible pathways, new lighting and landscaping.

The revised plans will be available online shortly at collaborate.canadabay.nsw.gov.au/braysbay..

Our Contractor, Glascott Landscape and Civil, are currently re-establishing on site with construction works due to recommence in January 2023. Works are expected to be complete by the end of 2023.

We look forward to delivering this exciting new open space for our community.
