Council's Sustainability and Community Development teams have partnered to create the Schools Partnership Network which focuses on environmental education and youth issues in the City of Canada Bay.

The network offers hands-on educational experiences, such as student leadership mentoring, professional development workshops and incursions/excursions to schools within the City of Canada Bay. Topics on offer range from mental health and wellbeing, Indigenous education, gardening, litter reduction, energy, water, food and fashion.

Meetings are held once a term and are open to all principals, teachers, P&C of schools in the City of Canada Bay.

Come along and join us for Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, 1 March from 7:30–11:30am. This is a great opportunity to team up with your friends, family and neighbours to help clean up your local environment! You can also choose to get a team together and register your own clean-up site! If you'd like to come along to one of Council's clean-up sites, please register below:

All clean-up materials will be provided and there will be free refreshments for all volunteers.

In the event of severe weather conditions, this community clean up event will be postponed.

Calling young creatives to help create our official Youth Week 2026 artwork!

We're inviting 12–24 year-olds to submit an original design in line with the Youth Week theme 'Dream. Dare. Do.' for the chance to win a $500 gift card and have their artwork featured on Council's official Youth Week promotional materials.

We encourage you to share this opportunity with your students. More information is available on the competition webpage.
