Council will be undertaking the renewal of Saltwater Creek Bridge in mid-2023. The existing bridge has reached the end of its serviceable life and will be removed as part of this project.

The replacement concrete bridge will be constructed on the upstream side of the existing bridge. The bridge will be raised clear of future sea level rise and will have no impact upon the 1% Annual Exceedance Probability Flood Levels. To achieve these design requirements the bridge will be 1.2 metres higher than the existing bridge.

Disturbed landfill will be remediated onsite in accordance with the project’s Construction Environmental Management Plan, compliant with the Environment Protection Authority requirements. Massey Park’s Fairway Five may be shortened to a par 3 hole for the duration of works, however details of the arrangements will be confirmed closer to the start of construction.

The community will be notified ahead of construction once the tender has been awarded.
