Plan adopted by Council
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the draft Local Infrastructure Contribution Plan. All feedback was considered before the plan was reported back to Council after the conclusion of public exhibition.
Council resolved to adopt the plan on Tuesday 15 February 2022 and is effective from 07 March 2022.
About the plan
The Local Infrastructure Contribution Plan sets out the kinds of contributions landowners need to make towards local infrastructure as a result of development on their land. This includes things like parks and playgrounds, indoor sports recreation centres, libraries and community spaces, roads, street lighting, and more.
The draft plan combines the Canada Bay Section 7.11 Development Contribution Plan together with the Section 7.12 Fixed Levy Contribution, and incorporates precinct specific contributions for the Rhodes Precinct and the Strathfield Triangle.
It has been structured so that money collected goes where it is needed.
