Council has obtained funding from the NSW Government's Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to bring Howley Park East to life for the community.

We've drafted six different concept designs for the space, which are you are invited to review and provide feedback on.

All options include:

  • Lookout space with pedestrian access down to the beach and marina
  • Landscaped spaces and DDA compliant pedestrian ramps
  • Stabilisation of existing eroded embankments for bush regeneration and the introduction of endemic plant species
  • Seating and materials suitable to withstand harsh marine environments

The key differences of each concept design option are outlined below.

  • Bench seating and opportunity to include interpretive signage
  • Additional garden bed

Option D
  • Pedestrian entry onto ramp positioned further along Victoria Place
  • Retention of existing tree
  • Pedestrian walkway takes an alternate route to maximise open space
Option E
  • Pedestrian entry onto ramp from Victoria Place
  • Retention of existing tree
  • Bench seating and opportunity to include interpretive signage

Option F
  • Pedestrian entry onto ramp positioned further along Victoria Place
  • Retention of existing tree
  • Pedestrian walkway takes an alternate route to maximise open space
