Project background

Council is proposing to upgrade the playground at Henry Lawson Park in Abbotsford and wants to hear your ideas for the new space!

The upgrade will include new play equipment and nature play to fit in with the surrounding area. The project may also include seating options and planting in the playground. The playground cannot be relocated to another place in the park due to the terrain.

Construction of the new playground is scheduled for the 2025-26 financial year.

From 1 November - 1 December 2024, we asked for community feedback on playground design, park improvements and accessibility. Feedback from this consultation has been used to draft a concept design which we are now inviting you to provide feedback on. Read the consultation report for full overview of the feedback provided.

How to submit your playground drawing:

1. Draw your playground vision – Get creative! Think about swings, slides, climbing structures, and anything fun you'd want in the playground! Use this template to get started.

2. Take a photo – Make sure your drawing is clear and fully visible.
