Update - August 2022

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback to help shape this Traffic Study. Community feedback has been reviewed and consolidated. Council will be looking to engage a consultant to assist in delivering the Traffic Study commencing in September 2022. It is anticipated the study duration will run until late 2022.

Project Background

Council resolved in November 2021 that consultation be undertaken with residents about concerns relating to the speed of motorists and the volume of traffic in streets parallel to Lyons Road between Gipps Street and Formosa Street, Drummoyne.

We are now seeking feedback to help us better understand issues related to traffic speed, volume and safety in the Drummoyne area, specifically south of Lyons Road between Gipps Street and Formosa Street.

Findings will be used to determine the scope of a proposed Traffic Study which will be undertaken in late 2022. The study area can be seen on the map below.

    Drummoyne Shared Spaces Pilot

    October 2020 – March 2021

    Council conducted a pilot of two shared, piazza style spaces at Formosa Street and Church Street, Drummoyne. During consultation, there were some resident concerns about traffic and safety in the surrounding areas.
