About the proposed amendment
We're proposing an amendment to our Fees and Charges 2024-25 to better meet the needs of businesses.
Currently, businesses must purchase Council’s combined waste and recycling service package, regardless of their actual waste management needs. We're now proposing to introduce two new charges for commercial waste bins, giving businesses access to larger waste bins provided they can demonstrate they meet recycling commitments.
The proposed charges for additional commercial waste bins are outlined in the table below.

Once the exhibition period closes, any feedback will be taken to a future meeting of Council for consideration. If no feedback is received, the proposed charges will become effective immediately.
