Project background
Council is looking to foster long-term sustainability by integrating circular economy principles into waste management, procurement practices, and resource recovery strategies.
A circular economy is an alternative to the traditional linear model of "take, make, dispose." It focuses on keeping resources in use for as long as possible through reducing waste, reusing, repairing, and recycling ultimately creating a closed-loop system that benefits the environment and economy. To make sure these efforts align with the needs of our community, we want to hear from you.
Complete the survey below to help us understand how well current initiatives are supporting residents to engage in circular economy practices, how easy it is to make sustainable choices, and what improvements or new ideas you'd like to see. We’re particularly interested in learning about:
- Your general awareness of the circular economy.
- Which Council-led initiatives that support circular economy you know about and participate in.
- Any barriers you’ve experienced when trying to reduce waste, reuse resources, repair and recycle.
- Opportunities for Council to help you better reduce waste, reuse resources, repair and recycle.
Your feedback will inform future programs and partnerships that support a more sustainable, low-waste future for the City of Canada Bay. Feedback is open from 1 August - 15 September 2025.
