Fusion 360 to blender

12 July 2020

The 3D printer at The Learning Space has been propped up on cardboard boxes for a while to align the filament roll with the 3D printer, so this week we’ll be making feet for the printer. I wanted to make these feet more interesting and I was inspired by pot feet. I wanted to create something a little bit whimsical as well, so once I got the basic shape of the ‘3D printer foot’ I brought it into Blender to create a more ‘vine like’ pattern over the feet. I was looking for something a little like a clump of roots or magical tree look.

If you would like to go with a more foot-like desgin, I recommend watching Make Anything’s video on making Stool Paws. His tutorial is what inspired this activity.
