This tutorial is designed to be a little different from our other tutorials. Instead of taking you through a process to make something, this tutorial shows you what steps went into making and fixing the model. This process can then be used when you have an item you want to model in Fusion 360.

The item being modeled in this tutorial is the a plastic bin lid part. Instead of throwing out the broken bin or using it without a lid I wanted to fix it using a 3D printed part.

Part 1 shows you the process of the item being modeled. It's not designed to be followed exactly but skimmed as a way of thinking about how to model more complex 3D objects.

Part 2 shows you the process of refining and editing the model once it's been printed, tested, and improved in Fusion 360.
