Our theme for this year's competition is Capture Canada Bay. While we are practice social distancing, we still want to get a close-up look at life through your lens. We’re looking for intriguing close up, macro or micro photos that focus on your everyday life. Prizes will be awarded according to the three categories outlined below.

Category one: faces

It is special to capture close up images of people. A still image will show details, moods, and feelings we would not normally notice. Submit any portraits worth sharing.

Category two: nature

Nature photography is never boring. From raindrops to the flora and fauna, this category is for images that capture the natural world around us.

Category three: man-made

Man-made objects are all around us. They can be items that keep us entertained like games and toys or things that are designed to make our life easier. Photos submitted in this category are inanimate items that have been created to augment our abilities.

Judging and prizes

All eligible entries will be judged by the City of Canada Bay’s Environment, Place and Media and Communications teams. The panel will judge each entry according to creativity as well as photography techniques applied.

There will be four prize winners: one for each category and one people’s choice award winner which will be decided through a vote on Facebook. Each prize winner will receive one $200 gift voucher for a local City of Canada Bay restaurant.
